31 August Lalinde to Les Eyzies

Moving towards caveman territory now... the ride today took us over more hilly terrain today above the banks of the Dordogne river.  Richly rewarded with amazing views - "the harder the climb, the sweeter the view & it is goooooooood, good for my soul" (reminds me of a song, really).
The coffee in Tremolat had some weird cream thing happening, but we tried & the town was cool.

Over another hill or 2 & lunch at yet another of Frances (self proclaimed) most beautiful villages & actually, we concur.
It is set at the confluence of the Dordogne & Vezere rivers & we like to think we dabbled our feet in both rivers there....

Now don't forget to smell the flowers, or when in France, to look up & spot another chateau - we saw one for sale for €26 million, if anyone is interested.... it looks pretty spectacular....

An exhillirating descent into Les Eyzies brought us into caveman territory & really, have we advanced very far since prehistoric times, or are we just rediscovering what was learnt before? We could debate that at length. Awesome limestone caves & heaps of atmosphere at this amazing place.  Today's billabong was the hotel pool - bathers were required...
