30 August St Foy to Lalinde

Jane M spotted a deer as we were cycling along the valley flat before heading inland & up to our magnificent chateau lunch spot at Monbazillac. The girls made it there first today - we are amazing! Again a delightful picnic below the chateau with views along the valley.

The Janes are totally into the after lunch swim & so chateau hopped to one which had a lake & enjoyed a swim & icecream. Both Janes are now into swimming in cycling nicks as a time saving measure.









They dry out quite well on the downhill ride into Lalinde, along a canal.

The gorgeous weather continued.  A lovely meal at the hotel (we are not sure if output is greater than input right now!). The hotellier kindly carried the paniers up 2 floors for us - what service! A night stroll to the bridge over the Dordogne river, which was beautiful.
