ReplyDeleteWow! I can't wait to type more comments!
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to your blog Jane! You are going a number of places that I want to go to next year! Have a FANTASTIC time :-). I'm sure you will :-).
ReplyDeleteActually the last leg of your tour sounds very similar to the last leg of our tour last year!! We stayed at Brig for 3 nights (the old town part is great!) and caught the train from ....I forget.. a little town in Italy starting with T.... through to Brig - so the opposite way to you but the same scenery :-). Can't wait to compare photos!!
ReplyDeleteI'm Kesta and I want to make a comment. I'm not an anonymous person. I have a personality and I'm happy for people to know who I am. This is mighty frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI'm still Kesta. Does anyone believe me?
ReplyDeleteYay! But where's my picture?
ReplyDeletehowdee doodee ya'll. My holiday has started!!!
ReplyDeleteI really hope cycling isn't as hard as blogging! And how did David & Trudy get a picture up there?
I think I'm gonna have a photo up this time!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
ReplyDeleteOk. So I've been here all evening with Jane supporting me on the side (arghhh! grin), and we're determined to see this through. Jane may not leave Melbourne for her travels until this mission is accomplished.
ReplyDeleteAnd it worked?
ReplyDeleteRats! Now Jane's allowed to leave!
ReplyDeleteAt Melb airport making sure the Janes actually get on the plane.
ReplyDeleteVive la France! Parlez-vous Francais?
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to sharing with you your trip electronically!
A Bientot!
The previous "Anonymous" was me Margaret D! I too am FRUSTRATED! Trudy said it was easy if I have a Google Account, well I have one and it IS NOT EASY!
ReplyDeletedear Bloggers, keep trying!
ReplyDeleteHi Janes, hope that you are enjoying the start of your holiday. We look forward to reading about your adventures. Tales all the wonderful people you meet, the delicious food and glorious sights. Let's hope that this posts.
ReplyDeleteHi Derek & co, yes, you successfully blogged! My holidays have started at Seal Beach, California - cycling training is a 5 minute ride along the foreshore to coffee & cake each day & catching up with my godson, my good friend & their family. Food: calory-loading has a mexican theme, macca's theme & cake theme.... yuuuuummmmyyyyy
ReplyDeleteFiona here - just trying to get access
ReplyDeleteDear Jane M
ReplyDeleteFiona here again, hope you're having a great time in the US. How was your day in LA?
I'm doing my piece to keep your cycling buddy in top top shape for Europe. Yesterday I took her to 8000 feet for altitude training in Big Bear California and we cycled down - great for her red cell count! She's also been doing hyperbaric oxygenation treatments with Jax. I can't take too much more of the carbo loading though! Phew - this cycling training is intense!
Love to all
Fiona
Hello Janes
ReplyDeletePhew, it sounds like a punishing training schedule you are on Jane B! Hope it is all worth it!!
Margaret
Yes, me too! I bought a water bottle at Big Bear Lake at the cycle shop & noticed it had the cheery message of "Pain is weakness leaving your body" - I'm not sure I even want to know what that means!?! I'm going for a surf at Seal Beach, California tomorrow, for something totally different - the good thing about all the calory loading is - at least I'll float well!
ReplyDeleteDear Jane, work stuff I'm afraid. Could you check your work emails from me and let me know what you think? re expressions of interest. Don't worry all is good.
ReplyDeleteRegards
Lauri
p.s looks like you are having a great holiday
Hiya Janey,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog! Your trip sounds fantastic. Glad to hear the preparations are going well - I can vouch for the long-term effects of carb loading (aka coffee and cake) - we got on the scales here 6kg heavier :-(
Love you!
PS I signed in with my gmail but not sure why it thinks my name is Eng teacher. At least you know who it is! <3
Wow, JEB, you sure have lots of comments! Kesta, I know who you are :)
ReplyDeleteSorry, JEB, I realize that you already have an ANONYMOUS but guess you know whose half brain you took? Hope NY is/was super! Love as ever
ReplyDeleteJane--Pop here! I just read all the blogs--wow! I sent the surfing photo to you and friends--it looks fantastic! Hope NY is great, and not too hot.....keep up the cake and coffee as a way of getting enough energy or your cycling! Cheers, R
ReplyDeleteDear Janes
ReplyDeleteFiona here - Jane thanks for your emails - I got your NY phone no. after you and we'd left! Glad to see the Long Island Sound coffee didn't beat the Seal Beach coffee!
Love to you both

ReplyDeleteActually, Kesta said: Did you get time to look around Avignon before you set off? And to sing the song on the bridge? When we were there the summer festival was in full swing with loads of street performers & a great holiday/party atmosphere. We also loved Saint-Remy. (Just had to get the map out to see exactly where you're going on this leg - and reminisce about our trip in 2007!). Enjoy! It's a beautiful part of France!
ReplyDeletehere, here, Kesta, it surely was beautiful!
